Allison Steele, the Branch Manager of our successful Lords Ham Branch was over the moon to win the instruction of this rarely available property.
Allison said, “Being a resident of Ham, I have always admired this house on Ham Street; it offers an abundance of period features and charm. Anybody who appreciates the character would soon turn this into a very elegant and comfortable home”

The site of St Thomas Aquinas Church was originally that of two alms-houses. In 1817 the alms-houses were moved and the old buildings converted to school use. They were pulled down in 1876-7 to become Ham’s first local school, known as St Andrew’s National School. It was run by the parish with places for 101 boys and 74 girls as well as a number of infants. The houses on the opposite side of the street incorporating 9 Ham Street were school houses provided for the teachers.
All of the sales team in our Ham Branch live locally and Marilyn Fox the Assistant Manager is extremely pleased with the location of 9 Ham Street being so close to Ham Common. “It’s a natural beauty spot,” said Marilyn, “and I often walk my dog nearby.”
Today the open part of Ham Common is the centrepiece of Ham Village. It has an informal village green character and is surrounded by a remarkable collection of Georgian and later mansions of high-quality architecture, together with attractive groups of smaller houses and cottages. In the late 1990’s steps were taken by local residents led by the Ham and Petersham Association to make improvements to the pond as a natural wildlife habitat. Now a haven for wildfowl and wildlife it has also become the regular home of mute swans that have enthralled visitors by nesting there and raising their cygnets.
The bright and airy property offers versatile living accommodation comprising four bedrooms, three reception rooms, a kitchen/family room and bathroom. There is an En Suite Showerto the Master bedroom with plus a cloakroom upstairs and the family bathroom is downstairs. To the rear there is a delightful South Westerly aspect rear garden. From the front stunning views towards Ham Common can be enjoyed. The property is offered with no forward chain.
